I Love My Dyson

Cleaning is not my favorite thing to do at all. However, I love to vacuum.

I love to vacuum with my Dyson. Not just any old vacuum.

I bought my Dyson DC33 about 7 years ago. At the time we had just had a new baby. It was quite an investment too. I am so glad we got it. After 7 years, it still works like it's brand new.

My favorite part about it is the suction. It'll suck up anything - if you're not paying attention! Watch the cat...

Dyson DC33 Vacuum Pros

This lovely vacuum has so many pros. I won't keep you here all day though. So here are my favorite things about the vacuum.

It's bagless. LOVE that feature! I can vacuum a room, empty the dirt into the trash and start another room. I wonder how my old vacuum with a bag would work with the bag being so full.

The powerful suction. This vacuum will suck up anything. So be sure to pick up those Legos that are laying around because the Dyson will get 'em. It's great with pet hair too. I have two cats, one with long hair. So there is always a tuft of cat hair she'd left for me.

The wand. The wand and attachments are so easy to use. All you need to do is flip up the lever on the top of the vacuum, pull up the wand and squeeze the release. Then you're good to clean the edges of the floor, under the cabinets in the kitchen or the corners of the ceiling. The wand is great for sucking up a little spider or two that may have set up camp in a corner.

It's lightweight. The Dyson is very easy to carry up and down stairs. It's a little heavy for my 3rd grader to use... But I love how easy it is to move around.

It looks cool. My husband doesn't mind using it. He's a designer (graphics, furniture, etc) so he really likes the way the Dyson was engineered.

Dyson DC33 Vacuum Cons

I love this vacuum and I don't have many issues with it. But with anything there are some cons.

It doesn't reach all the way under my counters in the kitchen and bathroom. To get everything hiding under there, I need to get out the wand. As mentioned in the Pros section, the wand is very easy to use. However it would be nice if the vacuum itself could reach under my cabinets.

The attachments are great and click into place. However sometimes if I bump one while vacuuming, one will fall off. Not too bad of a con. I just need to bend and pick it up. Just burned a couple extra calories.

Hair gets stuck in the brush on the bottom. This happens with every vacuum though. Every so often, for good maintenance, you need to clean the hair out of the brush on the bottom.

Lastly, it's difficult to use my Dyson on rugs. The attachments work better than the vacuum on a rug.

In all, with this small list of cons, I still highly recommend this vacuum to everyone. I even tried to sell one to a lady in Target once.
