What is the LeapFrog LeapPad Explorer Learning Tablet?

You have an iPad and your little one wants one too. Well, you are in luck! LeapFrog is introducing the LeapPad, the Explorer Learning Tablet. It's like an iPad for kids! The MSRP is $99. What a great price! Much less than an iPad.

All kids will love this but it's made specifically for kids aged 4-9. However, I can see the 10, 11, and older kids wanting to play with this too. And I'm sure the sweet 2 and 3 year old children would LOVE to use it to feel grown up. Wouldn't hurt to introduce them to a kid-friendly iPad instead of carrying yours around, right?

So what are the features?

  • Large screen touch screen. It's 5"! Wow! That's huge for a little one. (Remember how small things seem to you now as an adult?)
  • Built in camera and video recorder. Ah-ma-zing! Your kid is going to go nuts for this. The kids will be taking photos and videos of everything in sight! (The camera is low-res, but it helps keep the cost down - so use your camera for the shots for the scrapbook.)
  • It comes with 4 apps: Pet Pad, Story Studio, Art Studio and the last one you can choose yourself.
  • The story studio and art studio help your child modify the photos they take and put those pictures into stories. Oh how fun is that?
  • It comes with a stylus (plus an extra one - when the first one gets lost) and a cord to attach the stylus to the pad.
  • The Ultra eBook is amazing. The books have different levels included in each book. Their reading progress is tracked in the system and will automatically adjust as they progress.
  • Microphone. Cool! They can record their own stories and play them back for you when you're done on Facebook.

This is the Must-Have toy of the season. Grab yours today before they're gone!
